1.Basic Baby Wet Wipes

  1. A roll of thick paper towel
  2. Leak-proof container
  3. 2 Cup boiled or distilled water
  4. 1 Tbsp baby shampoo or mild castile soap

  6. 1 Tsp aloe vera gel (Optional)
  7. 1 Tsp lavender essential oil (Optional)

Method:

Cut the roll of thick paper towel in half with a sharp serrated or butter knife. Make a boil to water of 2cup. Let it cool down.

Take a clean bowl or jar (wide opening), pour warm water, castile soap, oil and whisk it. Make sure soap and oil is perfectly blend with the water.

Grab an air tight container and place the paper towel inside the container. Pour the wipe solution evenly, cover it with lid and let it settle for few minutes. Solution will be absorb by paper towels.

Pull the wipe from the center of the roll. It should come out one by one.

Store these wipes in a cool place or refrigerate and do not left it open as homemade wipes dried out easily. If you are thinking to make multiple batches and store them like store-bought, then do not as homemade wipes may develop mold. Discard if, notice any odor or changing color. Always make fresh batch if, run out.

2. Sensitive Baby Wet Wipes

Ingredients:

  1. 1.5 Cup boiled or distilled water
  2. 1/2 Cup chamomile tea
  3. 1 Tsp aloe vera gel (Optional)
  4. 1 Tbsp calendula infused oil

Method:

Boil 1/2 cup chamomile tea in a pan. Let it cool.

Take a bowl and mix all the mention ingredients together- calendula oil, aloe vera gel, water and chamomile tea. Whisk it well.

Place paper towel in an air tight jar or container and pour the mixture evenly. Seal the container and let it soak for few minutes. Wipes should come one by one.

Never use dried herbs while making wipes, use only brewed tea or finely ground oatmeal powder.)

3. Reusable Cloth Wipes

Cloth wipes is a good solution, if you want to avoid disposable one or run out of paper towel. Although it is eco friendly. It can be reused many times.

Ingredients:

  1. Spray bottle
  2. Fresh cotton muslin/bamboo cloth
  3. Airtight storage box
  4. 1/2 Cup boiled water
  5. 1 Tbsp mild castile soap or shampoo
  6. 1-2 Tsp coconut/almond/olive oil

Method:

Let’s make the solution by mixing warm water, mild soap or shampoo and oil of your choice. Blend it well and store it a bottle.

Order cotton muslin or bamboo cloth for wipes from amazon or cut a soft cotton cloth into 6×6 or 8×8 inch squares. Store them in a wipe container and pour the solution at the center. Let the cloth wipes rest in the solution.

Or

You can simply store the wipes solution in the spray bottle only. When in need, just spray the solution on the cloth to clean and then toss it into a laundry hamper.

If find any smell or change, do not use it and make a fresh batch. Keep a small leak proof bag or silicone pouch of prepared cloth wipes in the diaper bag for travel.
