Here is a list of 10 easy, homemade sweet baby foods that are perfect for babies.
1. Date Balls
Ingredients –
- 10-15 Dates
- 100-150 Grams Roasted Chickpeas
Method –
Grind the chickpeas and dates together in a blender. It will provide you dough type mixture. Separate them and make balls of it or you can try baby-safe molds. It will satisfy their sweet craving. Serve them with some dry fruits or coconut shedder.
2. Dry Fruit Balls

Ingredients –
- Dry Fruits of your choice
- 10 Dates
- 2 Spoon Desi Ghee
- 10-12 Rose Patels (Optional)
- Cling Paper
Method –
Soak 10 dates in water for 20 minutes. Slightly roast the dry fruits of your choice in ghee. Take out the dates and mix dry fruits, rose patels with them with the help of cling paper. Make a roll of them and put it in the fridge. After 20 minutes, cut into your favorite shape and serve them.

3. Banana Ice-cream
Ingredients –
- 2 Frozen Banana
- 3-4 Dates (optional)
- Makhana (Foxnut)
- Milk
- Baby-safe popsicle molds
Method –
Peel the banana and freeze them for 1-2 hours. Soak the dates and makhana (Foxnut) in warm milk for softness. Blend all the ingredients and pour the mixture into baby-safe popsicle mold. Freeze it for 2-3 hours and enjoy the ice-cream.
4. Sweet Potato Pie
Ingredients –
- 1 Medium Sweet Potato
- Powder Cinnamon
- Powder Cardamom
Method –
Bake or steam the sweet potato until it becomes soft. Scoop out the flesh and add a sprinkle of cinnamon. You can mash it or serve as a puree.
5. Banana Cookies
Ingredients –
- 2-3 Banana
- Coconut Shedder
- Dry Fruit Powder (optional)
Method –
Peel the banana and mash them with the help of fork. Add some coconut shedder in banana mash. Give a shape to the cookies and bake them for 5-8 minutes and serve them.

6. Besan Laddoo
Ingredients –
- 1 Cup Besan\Gram Flour
- 10-12 Dates
- 1\2 Cup Ghee
- Cardamom Powder
- Nuts and Seeds Powder
Method –
Add ghee in a pan & melt it down and put some besan flour. Roast it well. Wait for the color turns little golden brown. Soak dates for 10 minutes in hot water or you can also use dates powder. Sprinkle cardamom, nuts, seeds and dates powder. Mix it well and let it cool down. Now make laddoos from it. Let it settle for sometime and eat with milk or like this. Store it in air tight container.
7. Apple Peanut Rings

Ingredients –
- 1 Apple
- Peanut Butter
- Nuts and Seeds Powder
Method –
Wash the apple and cut in circles. Apple some peanut butter on both the sides. Sprinkle nuts and seeds powder. You can add pumpkin seeds to make it more healthy.
8. Chocolate Peanut Makhana (Foxnut)
Ingredients –
- 40-50 Grams Cup Makhana (Foxnut)
- 1\2 Cup Ghee
- 50 Grams Jaggery
- 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter
- 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
Method –
Take a pan, add ghee and roast makhana until it is crunchy. Add jaggery and melt it down. Now add peanut butter and cocoa powder. Mix it well, add makhanas and give a good mix to it. Let it cool, separate it and enjoy. You can store it in an airtight container.

9. Roll Pop
Ingredients –
- 1 Cup Rolled Oats
- 10 Dates
- 1\4 Coconut Oil
- 1 Cup Raw Cashews
- 1 Tbsp Flax, Chia and Hemp Seeds
- 1\4 Tbsp Salt
Method –
Except chocolate, blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth paste. Roll into balls, pop in a stick and dip in the melted chocolate. Let it freeze for sometime and enjoy.
10. Ragi Muffins

Ingredients –
- 3 Tbsp Fresh Curd
- 1 Tbsp Ghee
- 1 Ripe Banana
- 1\4 Cup Ragi Flour
- 2 Tbsp Oats\Almond Flour
- 2 Tbsp Date Powder (optional)
Method –
Mash the whole banana, add curd and mix it well. Add ragi, almond\oats flour and wisk it well. Let it rest for 3 hours for the better fermentation. Now add ghee, date powder and seeds (above 1 year) for the taste. Bake for 20 minutes at 200C in air fryer and 20 minutes for steaming in idli mould.
